WAA is a dynamic and vibrant Canadian firm with innovative and fresh ideas. Our firm, established more than 30 years ago, develops creative, cost effective solutions for projects in landscape architecture, master planning and urban design. We bring the same passion and dedication to all of our projects, which include:

- residential, commercial and recreational developments;
- institutional landscape design for museums, hospitals, cemeteries and university campuses.
Cultural and heritage preservation and concern for the environment are reflected in our planning and landscapes projects.
Our clients include federal, provincial and municipal governments as well as private developers. Our international clients include the cities of Shanghai, Suzhou and Wuhan in China, as well as the Agha Khan foundation in Kenya and Afghanistan and the ELPF group in Algiers.
We are particularly attentive to clients’ needs and aspirations, and thus we provide solutions which are highly appreciated both for its design and cultural and environmental qualities. Our recent award winning project, Yanan Zhong Lu Park, a 28 hectare park designed and built in downtown Shanghai, for which WAA has been awarded national prizes from the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects (CSLA), the Chinese Society of Landscape Architects and the prestigious Magnolia Prize from the City of Shanghai for exceptional service to that city. Our Beach Park project in Montreal won the Award of Excellence from Environment Canada; and the CSLA National Award. The Biodome, Heron Lake and Mount-Royal Cemetery are also award winning projects from the CSLA and Canadian Institute of Planners.
